WHAT IS PLYWOOD


Plywood is used in the construction industry and is billed as film faced plywood. Since it is a water-resistant and high-strength product, it is an ideal material for concrete molds and plasterless formwork systems. It is also used for flooring and for different purposes.

The meaning of plywood, which is an English term in our country, is film plywood and it is called with different names as playvud, bleymut, pleymut, polyvut. The biggest feature that distinguishes plywood from other products is that it has at least 120/gr phenolic kraft paper on it.

It is made of durable woods such as pine, beech, birch. Plywood outer surfaces are covered with phenolic resin impregnated kraft paper. It is produced in 7, 9, 11, 13, 15 layers of bucks.

It is a light material with mechanical durability. It reduces plaster costs in constructions and saves time in mold laying.

Film-coated plywood (classified according to Plywood type and origin. It is classified as Birch (birch), Pine, Beech, tropical, poplar, fir, etc. according to the tree type, and Russian, Brazil, Vietnam, India, Estonia and domestic etc. according to its origin.
